The Southeast German Studies Consortium (SEGSC) is pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th annual SEGS Workshop, which will be held on March 7-8, 2013 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
At the workshop, some fifty professors and graduate students working in German history and German studies will meet to discuss short, pre-circulated position papers on preselected themes. This year’s themes are: “Umwelt-Environment,” “Gegenstand-Object,” and “Wissenschaft-Science.” Your “entrance ticket” to the workshop will be a short paper that addresses one of these themes. The paper is limited to three single-spaced pages and must be submitted to the workshop organizers by February 1, 2013.
We are delighted that our keynote lecture this year will be given by Professor David Blackbourn of Vanderbilt University.
